Changes to Text Push Notifications

***ALERT*** This post only applies to Payroll Partners clients who currently receive a text message notification for the total payroll liability or reminders about an upcoming payroll. If this applies, please read below.


Due to changes in regulation, all payroll reminder and cash requirement text message PUSH notifications have converted from the 10-digit phone number (817)767-4242 to the 5-digit phone number 35546 effective August 30, 2023.

At this time, Swipeclock will also discontinue text-to-punch and Inbound PUSH requests.

There is no action required on your part. However, we are offering alternative solutions below as necessary. There will not be any interruption to your current push notifications, and there is no increase in cost.

Why is this happening?


The change is related to new regulations being enforced by The Campaign Registry (TCR). TRC is working with all carrier networks to reduce texting spam. Swipeclock (our provider) is required to comply to ensure network traffic is authorized.

What functionality is being changed on August 30, 2023?

  1. Inbound PUSH Requests: After August 30, 2023, users sending text messages to the 10-digit phone number will no longer receive return information.
    Instead, Users will need to login to the portal to find that information.
  2. Text-to-Punch: After August 30, 2023, users sending text messages to the 10-digit phone number will no longer register that punch.
    Instead, Users can punch via the webclock or mobile app to punch in/out (as available on their account setup).
